Salton Announces Board of Directors Appointment May 20, 2003 |

Mr. Oyer is currently vice president of Global Business Development for Standard & Poor's Portfolio Services. Mr. Oyer's appointment will increase the size of the company's Board of Directors to nine.
Mr. Oyer has more than 25 years of business and investment experience. Prior to joining Standard & Poor's, he served as the chief financial officer of Saflink Corporation, where he continues to serve on the company's Board of Directors. From 1995 until the company was sold in 2000, he worked for Murray Johnstone International Ltd., where he was responsible for the sales and marketing of international investment management services and private equity sales.
