Whirlpool Declares Quarterly Dividend; Reelects Directors to Board

The board of directors of Whirlpool Corporation, at its regular meeting on Tuesday in Chicago, declared a quarterly dividend of U.S. $0.34 per share on the company's common stock. The dividend is payable June 13, 2003, to common stock holders of record at the close of business on May 15, 2003. In addition, three members of Whirlpool's board of directors were reelected to the board. Gary T. DiCamillo, president and CEO of TAC Worldwide Co., Kathleen J. Hempel, former vice chairman and CFO of Fort Howard Corp., and Arnold G. Langbo, former chairman and CEO of Kellogg Co., were returned to the board for 3-year terms, expiring in 2006.
