German HVAC producer Viessmann Group, through its Viessmann Photovoltaik business based in Allendorf, Germany, plans to acquire Schüco International's photovoltaic business.
The acquisition will extend Viessmann Photovoltaik's product portfolio and customer base. Viessmann Photovoltaik intends to expand business activities, especially in core
European markets like Germany, Italy, the UK, and the Benelux countries.
Schüco International KG will focus on its area of core expertise: window and facade technology.
Viessmann Photovoltaik intends to continue the expansion of the knowledge base developed by Schüco, particularly its expertise in solar modules and supporting structures. Leveraging synergies with its parent group will allow Viessmann Photovoltaik to offer access to Viessmann Group's range of heating, cooling, and climate control products.
The acquisition will allow installers to have access to heat pumps and
matching storage systems as well as to complete photovoltaic system
technology. Heat pump controllers are already designed to optimize use of electricity generated in a PV system.
