The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) Electroindustry Business Conditions Index (EBCI) for current conditions in North America rebounded in February 2014, rising to the 50 point mark that is associated with a stable business environment.

The February gain came after a sharp January drop, which was blamed in part on harsh winter weather.

Confidence in future business conditions strengthened for the fifth consecutive month in February. The EBCI for North American conditions in the next six months rose to 91.2, from 90.6 in January, putting it at one of the highest points in the history of the survey.
