Consumer Solutions, the small appliance and electric housewares business segment of Jarden Corp., had full-year 2013 net sales of $2,040.0 million, up from $1,940.9 million in 2012.
Consumer Solutions' segment earnings were $307.2 million in 2013, up from $285.9 million in 2012. Operating earnings were $270.0 million, up from $232.3 million in 2012.
Highlights of Jarden's 2013 performance, according to CEO James E. Lillie, included the growth of Crock-Pot, FoodSaver, and Oster small electric housewares brands within Consumer Solutions.
Jarden Corp. as a whole reported that organic net sales grew 4.4% or about $293 million in full-year 2013. Reported net sales were $7.4 billion, up from compared $6.7 billion in full-year 2012.
Net income in 2013 was $204 million, compared to $244 million in 2012. Adjusted net income was $413 million, from $329 million in 2012.
"2013 marks a year of record revenues, record segment earnings, record operating cash flow, and record adjusted earnings per share," said CEO James E. Lillie. "We delivered organic growth across all of our business segments for the fourth quarter as well as in each of the quarters throughout 2013."
