Industrial Controls/Adjustable Speed Drives Index Hits Record High

U.S. demand for industrial controls increased in the third quarter of 2013, with NEMA’s Primary Industrial Controls Index showing a 2.6% rise from the second quarter. Year-over-year growth was 4.5%.

The Primary Industrial Controls and Adjustable Speed Drives Index showed an increase for the fourth consecutive quarter to hit a record high in the series: 3Q 2013 showed a 4.7% increase from 2Q 2013. Shipments were up 7.7% from 3Q 2012.
