Turkish-based Arcelik reported third-quarter 2013 revenue of 2,902 million Turkish liras (TRY), or about USD $1.42 billion, which is up 6.4% from TRY 2,728 million in the third quarter of 2012. Gross profit was 30.9%, compared to 29.8% in 3Q 2012.
Arcelik revenues in the first nine months of 2013 were TRY 7,998 million, up 1.1% from TRY 7,912 million in the first nine months of 2012. Gross profit was 30.5%, compared to 29.0% in the first nine months of 2012.
Arcelik's White Goods (major appliances) business segment had 3Q revenue of TRY 2,120 million, up from TRY 1,954 million in 3Q 2012. Gross profit was 34.1%, up from 33.3% in 3Q 2012.
White Goods' nine-month profit was TRY 5,597 million, up from the previous year's TRY 5,209 million. Gross profit was 33.7%, up from 32.2%.
Arcelik's Consumer Electronics business segment had 3Q revenue of TRY 406 million, up 5.2% from TRY 386 million in 3Q 2012. Gross profit was 20.8%, up from 17.4% in 3Q 2012.
Electronics had nine-month revenue of TRY 1,054 million, down 22.4% from TRY 1,359 million in the previous year. Gross profit was 18.1%, down from 20.2%.
Arcelik's Other business segment has 3Q 2013 revenue of TRY 376 million (down 3.0%) and nine-month revenue of TRY 1347 million (up 0.1%).
