Consumers urged to check dishwashers of the brands Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Constructa and Junker+Ruh purchased before 2006

BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeraete GmbH is calling on owners of dishwashers in many non-U.S. countries to check if their units are part of a product safety action. The action affects BSH dishwashers made before 2006 and includes the following brands: Bosch, Siemens, Neff, Constructa, and Junker+ Ruh.

BSH initiated the voluntary safety action in August of this year and issued the latest notice in its effort to reach as many consumers as possible with the potentially affected dishwashers.

In very rare cases, BSH said, the affected dishwashers can overheat and pose a potential risk of fire due to a fault in the control panel. BSH is offering consumers a free in-home repair or a refund of 20% on the price of a replacement dishwasher.

BSH is urging consumers to visit to find out if their dishwasher is affected.
