Glen Dimplex Acquires Britannia Living Appliances

UK-based Glen Dimplex has acquired Britannia Living Appliances, supplier of premium range cookers.

Britannia Living Appliances is based in Blackpool, England and supplies its own Britannia brand of premium cooking appliances. It also serves as distributor for cooking appliances from Italian appliance maker Bertazzoni and designer ventilation products from manufacturer Best. The company was formed in 1995 and now has 67 employees. A bdaily Business News article said the company was forced to go into administration in September of this year. The Glen Dimplex buyout, according to the article, will save all the Blackpool jobs.

A late-November article from Insidermedia.com said that Glen Dimplex paid 2.5 million British pounds to acquire Britannia Living Appliances and its stock. The report by Kaleigh Watterson said Glen Dimplex is looking for a buyer for the Britannia property in Blackpool.
