Canadian HVAC/R Wholesaler Down 0.9% YTD

Canadian HVAC/R wholesaler sales in June 2013 were down 9.4% from June 2012, according to data from the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating. Canadian HVAC/R sales in the first six months of 2013 were down 0.9% from the same period in 2012.

June 2013 total product sales as tracked by the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating were down CAD $64.4 million, or 11.8%, compared to June 2012.

Total year-to-date product sales were CAD $2,631.6 billion, down $50.3 million compared to the same period of 2012.

At the regional level, the Canadian "West" region, as tracked by the organization, was up, while the British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic regions were all down in total product sales.

HVAC/R sales were up in the Atlantic, followed by the West region and Alberta. Quebec, British Columbia, and Ontario HVAC/R sales were down.
