BSH Home Appliance Corp. has released details of the re-opening of its dishwasher production line at its plant in New Bern, NC.

BSH Home Appliance, a business unit of German-based BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeraete GmbH, held an event in April to celebrate the reopening of an upgraded production line at the factory in New Bern, including the return of 100 employees. The line will begin producing the next-generation line of Bosch dishwashers.

The reopening of the production line culminated a $50 million investment by Bosch into the new line, aimed at solidifying its broad-based reputation as having the quietest dishwasher brand in North America.

"We are glad to be welcoming back our employees to work on an all-new production line that will produce a line of dishwashers that will take Bosch to the next level," said Christian Westebbe, chief financial officer of BSH Home Appliance Corp. "New Bern employees are a major part of what makes Bosch dishwashers so exceptional. From using quality materials and sound reduction technologies to conducting extreme testing including 485 points of quality checks, our employees build exacting quality into every Bosch dishwasher."

The new Bosch dishwasher line began shipping to retailers in May 2013.
