New Zealand Retailer to Launch Haier-Made, House-Brand Washers

New Zealand retail chain Warehouse will contract with Chinese appliance maker Haier to launch its own in-house brand of washers, according to a report from Radio New Zealand.

Radio New Zealand said that Warehouse actually removed some private brand washer from its retail floor, after quality problems led to a large number of returns. The retailer now plans to begin selling entry-level washing machines under its own Aspira brand in the near future.

The Radio New Zealand report said the retailer no longer sells the Cascade brand and was replaced with the brands Necessities and Kensington.
