Sales of new single-family homes in February 2013 were up 12.3% from February 2012.
February 2013 sales of new single-family homes were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 411,000, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. February was down from 4.6% from the revised January 2012 rate of 431,000. The rate was up 12.3% from February 2012.
The median sales price of new houses sold in February 2013 was $246,800. The average sales price was $313,700. The seasonally adjusted estimate of new houses for sale at the end of February was 152,000, which is a 4.4-month supply at the current rate of sales.
