Canadian wholesaler sales in the HVAC/R product group were down 4.8% in February 2013 compared to February 2012, according to the latest PHCP Wholesalers' Sales Report from the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating.

Canadian wholesaler sales in the HVAC/R product group were up 2.8% in the first two months of 2013 compared to the first two months of 2012.

HVAC/R sales were down in all Canadian regions as tracked by the report. The largest HVAC/R sales drop was seen in British Columbia, with the next-largest decreases also seen in Quebec and Alberta.

The Profit Planning Group reported total February product sales, encompassing all covered product categories, were down 6.9% or CAD $26.9 million (approx. US$26.46 million) from February 2012. Year-to-date sales in all covered product categories were CAD $755.9 million, up 1.2% from the first two months of 2012.

Although sales were down from 2012, February was considered to be a very good month compared to 2010 and 2011.
