It appears that a revision to U.S. Energy Star standards for residential boilers is on-track to be finalized by July of this year.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) hosted a March 18 webinar on the new residential boiler standards. The webinar was intended to present the planned schedule for the revision process, to address comments from boiler producers and other interested parties, and to field questions on the revision.

The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) was among the webinar attendees. Serving as a federal regulatory advocate for the U.S. manufacturing industry is one of AHRI's primary roles.

AHRI reported that the webinar produced no major concerns or objections on Draft 1 Version 3.0 specifications for Energy Star residential boilers. AHRI's product sections are working on preparing comments by the next deadline of March 26.
