Char-Broil Surveys Americans 4th of July Plans

Char-Broil, maker of backyard grills, surveyed Americans about their plans for celebrating Independence Day 2012.
Among their menu findings:
* Nationwide, burgers and hot dogs are still the favorite foods for grilling outside.
* In the Midwest, 46% of households will grill brats/sausages this year.
* In the Northeast, 53% of households will grill chicken.
The survey found that the guest list will be kept small this Fourth, with 69.5% of Americans planning to have only their family at the independence Day cookout.
On the West Coast, 33.2% of household plan to invite family and friends to the cookout .
Northeasterners will spend the most time cooking, with 23% planning to be on the grill all day.
More than half of those surveyed - 51.7% - say grilling is their top recreational activity during the cookout.
Nationwide, only 21% of households plan to watch fireworks. The share is highest in the Midwest, where 25.3% plan to watch fireworks.
The survey even asked households to name who they would invite for this Fourth of July, whether dead or alive. The top responses on the list:
* Mom or Dad - Americans overwhelmingly responded they would like to have one more meal with their mother or father
* President Obama
* Jesus
* Bobby Flay
* Ronald Reagan
