The number of consumers looking to purchase tablet computers during the next six months increased in the second quarter of 2012, according to a Consumer Electronics Association report.
Currently, 20% of U.S. adults online owns a tablet computer, and more than two-thirds of online consumers plan to buy a tablet in the future. An increasing number of such consumers now plan to but their tablet within six months: 15% as of March 2012, up five percentage points from January.
The report found than online conversations about tablets are - as in previous reports - still overwhelmingly positive. Entertainment and reading books remain the most common tablet activities.
