U.S. Resin Production Up So Far in 2012

U.S. production of major plastic resins were 6.2 billion pounds in February 2012, up 11.9% from February 2011, according to the American Chemistry Council (ACC). Year-to-date production was 12.7 billion pounds, up 7.4% from the first two months of 2011.

Sales and captive (internal) use of major plastic resins were 6.2 billion pounds in February 2012, up 7.0% from February 2011. Year-to-date sales and captive use was 12.6 billion pounds, up 7.7% from the first two months of 2011.
