NKK Switches' Toyama Retires, Wada Named President

NKK Switches, a global supplier of electromechanical switches to the appliance and other industries, appointed Michael Wada president of the company.

Kiyoko Toyama, who was president for 13 years, is retiring. NKK is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nihon Kaiheiki Kogyo. Ms. Toyama has been with the company for more than 31 years, and will continue to serve as a senior advisor to NKK through April 2012.

Wada joined NKK in 2006 and most recently served as vice president of business development. Prior to NKK, Wada held senior management positions at corporations in multiple industries, including Xerox.

The company manufactures more than 3.5 million toggle, rocker, pushbutton, slide, rotary, DIP rotary, keypad, and keylock switches annually.
