Manufacturing Associations AMT and AMTDA to Merge

AMT-The Association For Manufacturing Technology and AMTDA-The American Machine Tool Distributors' Association will merge. The announcement was made at The MFG (Manufacturing for Growth) Meeting in Orlando, FL.

The new association will keep the name AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology and will be headquartered in McLean, VA. All current employees of AMTDA will join the new AMT, effective immediately. Merging the organization will allow for expanded products and services.

"This merger is a logical evolution for the manufacturing technology industry," said AMTDA Chairman Steve M. Wherry. "We are uniting the entire manufacturing technology supply chain from engineering and building machines, to integrating automation and support, to distribution services, which will well serve the users of manufacturing technology for their future."
