Jura Impressa with TFT Display Wins Housewares Design Award

The Jura Impressa J9 One Touch TFT won the 2012 Housewares Design Award for "Best in Category - Countertop Cooking & Beverage Appliances."

A panel of independent judges evaluated over 300 product entries to choose 12 category winners in the 2012 Housewares Design Award. The Impressa J9 automatic coffee center is designed to makes it easy to prepare specialty coffee beverages. A user turns a rotary dial to choose their coffee beverage, then presses a button to have the appliance prepare it. The unit can prepare specialty coffee beverages - such as macchiato and ristretto - at the touch of a single button and without moving the cup.

This is the first model in the line with the new TFT color display. The 3.5-inch-square display combines graphics and text to showcase the type of beverage, number of ounces, coffee strength, and amount of milk, designed to make it easier for users to personalize their brew.

The unit is also engineered with Jura's fine foam technology, designed to provide foamed milk with a fine, light consistency. The unit has a retail price of $2,899.
