Recent heavy winters have brought a resurgence in snow thrower sales and outdoor power equipment maker Husqvarna is launching a new single stage snow thrower and is extending its product line to include two dual stage track drive models.
Husqvarna said it started the redesign of its single stage snow thrower from scratch for the ST 121E. Engineered into the unit are:
• an electric starter
• a remote chute rotator to enable precision, one-hand movement of the deflector by the operator
• clear LED lighting
• a rubber auger blade to allow it to run smoothly on any surface without damage to the under body of the machine
• adjustable handle height.
The unit also has a three-position quick release folding handle for easier storage.
The new Trac Series (pictured) snow throwers, Models 1827 EXLT and 1830 EXLT, are built on the company's existing dual stage machine systems. Upgrades include the trac drive to enable the snow thrower to cover more complex terrain, with even greater incline slopes, while providing operator stability and no speed sacrifice.
Hydrostatic gear-free transmission is engineered for smooth movement and works well with the power steering used on all of the company's heavy duty snow throwers. Two handles let the operator maneuver each track separately, making 180° easy.
