The U.S. Census Bureau reported that adjusted Electronics & Appliance Store sales in May 2011 were $8,380 million, down from the $8,490 million in April 2011 and from $8,594 million in March 2011. May 2011 adjusted sales were down slightly from the $8,404 million reported in May 2010.
Estimates of sales are adjusted for seasonal variation and holiday and trading-day differences, but not for price changes.
Non-adjusted Electronics & Appliance Store sales for the first five months of 2011 were reported to be $38,781 million, up 0.5% over the first five months of 2010.
