Arçelik Opens Appliance Labs at Vocational High Schools

The Arçelik Electrical Household Appliances Technical Education Program will have appliance maker Arçelik establishing appliance technical service laboratories in high schools in Turkey in 2011. The initiative comes about as part of a program called Vocational High Schools – A Crucial Matter for the Nation, a collaborative effort of Arçelik parent company Koç Holding and Turkey's Ministry of National Education.

Arçelik is also working with the Ministry of National Education on curriculum development. The labs will go into three high schools in Istanbul and one in Diyarbakır.
