The Middleby Corp. named Karl Doyon president of Middleby Canada, making him responsible for all Middleby brands in Canada.
Doyon will continue to serve as division president for the Middleby baking division, which includes Nu- Vu and Doyon brands, a position he has held since 2010.
"Karl is highly respected in the industry and has built solid, longstanding customer relationships in Canada,” said Selim A. Bassoul, chairman and CEO of Middleby.
Doyon joined Middleby in December 2009 when Middleby acquired Doyon Equipment. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales for Doyon Equipment and started his career as a regional sales manager with Doyon Equipment in Quebec, Canada.
Middleby also named James K. Pool III president of its TurboChef division, a speed cooking oven brand based in Carrollton, TX. He replaces Paul Lehr, who is retiring.
“James’ impeccable track record speaks for itself, and he has proven to be an asset to both TurboChef and The Middleby Corporation,” said Bassoul. “Under James’ leadership, TurboChef has risen to be the most respected brand and world leader in speed cooking. James has been instrumental in pioneering ventless products for the kitchen, including the world’s first ventless conveyor.”
James joined TurboChef in 1995 and in the last decade was its principal engineer.
