National Presto Shows Off New Appliances to Shareholders

National Presto Industries, Inc. shareholders re-elected Randy Lieble and Joseph Stienessen to new three-year terms as directors during the company's May 17, 2011 annual stockholders meeting where they also viewed a new line of space-saving appliances and several other small appliance product introductions.
The new products included:
• Orville Redenbacher's by Presto Theater Popper, an appliance designed to let consumers make movie-type popcorn in the family room.
• A six-quart stainless steel cooker with new styling that supports The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. A $5.00 donation will be made with the purchase of each unit.
• A redesigned ProFry dual basket deep fryer – Presto's largest fryer – lets the user fry two different foods at once. The resdiegned unit allows for compact storage, and all parts now store neatly inside the appliance.
• A line of rice cookers in six, eight, and sixteen-cup sizes.
The new line of space-saving appliances that includes a 16-in Foldaway skillet and two appliances with removable handles: a 16-in electric skillet and 22-in griddle. These appliances were launched in response to consumer cleaning and storage concerns posed by jumbo-sized skillets and griddles. The new line is designed to offer the benefits of these jumbo-size appliance with easy storability.
The FoldAway skillet's casting lifts off the base, the base handles fold in, and the entire base nests into the skillet casting. The casting fits into the dishwasher. The handles of the removable handle skillet and griddle remove without tools for easy cleaning and storage.
