Liebherr Launches 36-Inch Fridges at Home Design Show

Liebherr Refrigeration North America, part of Germany's Liebherr Group, launched its 2060 series 36-inch refrigerators at the 2011 Architectural Digest Home Design Show, on Mar. 17-20, 2011, in New York City.

The single door 2060 series offers almost 20 cubic feet of capacity, with large and uninterrupted shelving accommodates oversized platters and containers. One drawer the width of the unit is designed for meats, cheeses, and dairy, while two other deep drawers are designed for proper care of fruits and vegetables.

"With increasingly busy lifestyles, consumers are looking to innovative organization food systems, and the new 2060 models, keeps their food, and their lives, simple and organized," said Thorsten Platt, vice president of Liebherr Refrigeration North America.

The 2060 series is available in freestanding, fully-integrated, and stainless integrated designs. A dual refrigeration system is engineered with separate efficient variable speed compressors. The unit is designed with a LED light columns and ceiling lighting, vegetable and freezer drawer illumination, an icemaker with advanced water filter. The first two models, both Energy Star rated, went on sale in the U.S. in April at a suggested retail price of $4,999 for a freestanding model and $5,799 for a fully-integrated models.
