Philips Wins Several Red Dot Product Design Awards

Appliance and consumer electronics OEM Philips Electronics of Eindhoven, the Netherlands, won 17 red dot awards for product design 2011.
Among the winning products:
Philips Daily Duo rechargeable two-in-one stick vacuum cleaner with a removable handheld vacuum cleaner. This is designed to be a flexible solution combining the more thorough cleaning of a stick vacuum with the convenience of a handheld that can be recharged several times a day.
The Philips Headgroom hair trimmer, which has a cone-shaped zoom wheel to ensure that hair cab be trimmed to a desired and even length without being cut too short.
The Philips SensoTouch3D shaver has a seamless body with no external screws and an ergonomic shaped that is designed to be comfortable to hold. A display adds "a touch of sensorial surprise" with a light effect. Motion sensors react to user touch, making a discreet on/off switch visible.
The Philips WallDock has no cables, plugging directly into any wall socket to elevate the user's mobile Apple device away from potential spills and damage.
