Rinnai Revises Earthquake Impact Report: No Disruptions or Delays

REVISED APRIL 25, 2011:
Appliance OEM Rinnai Group, based in Nagoya, Japan, reported that the earthquake caused no damage to its production facilities in Japan, none of which are in the Tohoku or Kanto regions. Rinnai said production has not been affected by the subsequent rolling power outages.
Brad Sweet, Rinnai vice president of marketing, said that the company worked hard after the earthquake to adjust its supply chain in order to keep all manufacturing operations running.
"Thankfully, we have experienced no production disruptions or delayed delivery of products due to the disaster, and we do not foresee any future delays as a result," Sweet said. "Rinnai is acutely aware of the devastation that the earthquake has caused and understands it may take years to fully recover from such a tragedy. As a result, the company has pledged to donate more than $1.5 million in cash and product to assist Japan’s relief efforts."
Rinnai is a full-line residential appliance OEM in the Japanese market, with a product line that includes gas stoves, ovens, dishwashers, gas rice cookers, instantaneous gas water heaters, and gas home heating equipment. The company also makes commercial gas appliances, including grills, fryers, and ranges. Outside of Japan, its focus is primarily on marketing its instant hot water generators.
