Panasonic Early Earthquake Assessment: Some Injuries, Plant Closures Mar 16, 2011 |

Early assessments by Osaka-based appliance and electronics maker Panasonic Corp. revealed some minor injuries to employees in various group companies, including AVC Networks Company Fukushima Factory (which makes digital cameras), AVC Networks Company Sendai Factory (making optical pickups), Panasonic Electric Works Koriyama Co., Ltd. (manufacturing electronic materials), Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. Tokyo Plant located in Gunma (manufacturing commercial air conditioners, showcases etc).
Panasonic said it was suspending operations in factories affected by the earthquake.
