The U.S. Census Bureau reported that adjusted Electronics & Appliance Store sales in November 2010 were $8.598 billion, down slightly from $8.652 billion in October 2010 but higher than the $8.522 billion reported in November 2009.
Estimates of sales are adjusted for seasonal variation and holiday and trading-day differences, but not for price changes.
Year-to-date, non-adjusted sales for the first 11 months of 2010 were $89.393 billion, up 2.9% from the first 11 months of 2009.
The most recent adjusted sales estimates for Appliance, TV, & Camera Stores, a subcategory of Electronics & Appliance Stores, is for October 2010, when they were $6.687 billion, down slightly from $6.727 billion in September 2010. Appliance, TV, & Camera Store sales in September 2009 were $6.657 billion.
