The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) appointed Ralph Hudnall to be director of Product Certification and Verification.

Hudnall will oversee AHAM’s ongoing and new appliance rating certification and verification programs. AHAM currently administers performance certification and verification programs for room air cleaners, room air-conditioners, dehumidifiers, and refrigerators and freezers. AHAM also is developing verification programs for clothes washers and dishwashers. AHAM is expected to receive approval from Energy Star as a recognized verification administrator for all of the product programs.

“Ralph comes to AHAM from the private sector working for many years with AHAM products,” said AHAM President Joseph M. McGuire. "In addition, Ralph has experience establishing test labs and testing systems for AHAM covered products. These qualifications will be a great asset to AHAM as we bring new verification testing programs online.”

Prior to AHAM, Hudnall worked for Euro-Pro Operating, LLC as compliance manager and test/sustainability engineer, where he led product safety compliance efforts across all product lines including portable and floor care appliances. Hudnall also served with Sunbeam Household Products.
