Whirlpool Selects Gray Construction to Develop Tennessee Plant

Whirlpool Corp. selected Gray Construction, of Lexington, KY, to build its new production facility in Cleveland, TN.
The project includes a 1 million sq ft, LEED-certified manufacturing facility to produce built-in, premium cooking products, as well as a 400,000 sq ft distribution center. Whirlpool will invest $120 million in the facility, adding about 130 jobs. The new plant will replace an existing 100-year old facility also located in Cleveland, TN. Construction is scheduled to start in late 2010.
