Keynote speakers at IFA International will include Dr. Kurt-Ludwig Gutberlet, CEO of Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances, Michael Rhodin, senior vice president, IBM Software Solutions Group. The two keynotes, taking place Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, will focus on the role of technological innovations in revolutionizing the home appliances market.
Gutberlet is expected to call upon the industry to increase market a broader spectrum of ultra-energy-efficient appliances, and will present his approaches to bringing smart, networked appliances to consumers. Rhodin will speak about smart electronics and steps the industry must take to realize the vision of the networked home.
All keynotes at the home appliances and consumer electronics tradeshow, which takes place September 3-8, 2010, at the Berlin Exhibition Site, will follow the themes of Glimpse of Life in the Age of 3D and the Networked Home
Other scheduled keynote speakers include:
• Bryan Burns, vice president of strategic business planning and development at ESPN, addressing the challenges and alliances needed to drive consumer interest in 3D
• Bernhard Burgener, CEO of Constantin Medien AG, will discuss the role of cinema and sports in driving 3D media consumption
Key home appliances topics at IFA will be design, ease of use, and ergonomics. CE topics will include HDTV, 3D TV, the networked home, TV/internet convergence, and mobile media. Cross-market trends include digital lifestyle, smart homes, and efficient energy use.
