John Deere Expands Indian Dealerships Network

Outdoor power equipment OEM Deere & Company wants to add 50 dealers to its retail network in India, according to reports from Mediaticks.

John Deere Deputy General Manager of Marketing Services Mahesh Boolchandani, based in Ahmedabad, is quoted saying that the company would like to increase its Indian dealership network from 380 to as many as 430. Deere is reported to have sold 25,000 tractors in India in 2009 and exported about 13,000 tractors made in Pune, India, to 68 countries, including the United States.
