U.S. Appliance Store Sales Up 5% in May

The U.S. Census Bureau reported that adjusted electronics and appliance store sales for May 2010 were $8.553 billion, up 5.0% from May 2009 and up 0.6% from April 2010. These advance monthly sales are adjusted for seasonal variation and holiday and trading-day differences, but not for price changes.
