Spectrum Brands Holdings, a $3 billion global small appliance and consumer products company, was added to the broad-market Russell 3000 Index as part of Russell Investments’ annual reconstitution of its U.S. and global equity indexes, completed after the market closed on Friday June 25, 2010.

Membership in the Russell 3000 remains in place for one year and means that Spectrum Brands is automatically included in the small-cap Russell 2000 Index, as well as appropriate growth and value style indexes.

Spectrum's value was expanded earlier this month when it merged with appliance maker Russell Hobbs, Inc.
