France's vacuum cleaner market has grown faster than the overall small domestic appliances market in 2009, according to GfK Retail and Technology, and the product group has already grown 5.6% in volume and 12% in value in 2010 as of the end of March.
The average price increased 7 euros compared to 2009, to reach 111 euros. The market research form said several segments are showing growth: cylinder, bagless, stick, and handhelds vacuums.
Robot vacuum sales reached 31,000 units sold at the end of March 2010, GfK reported, for an increase of 300% year-to-date.
