Japan's Industrial Production Down in February Apr 15, 2010 |

Revised February 2010 Indices of Industrial Production from Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) shows the seasonally adjusted production index at 93.7 (2005 average=100), which is down 0.6% from January 2010. The industrial shipment index was 94.8%, down 0.2%. Inventories were at 95.5, up 1.6% from January.
Inventories in the Refrigerating Machines and Appliances category were up 3.3% in February. The category was at a seasonally adjusted index of 66.7 in January 2010 and at 68.9 in February 2010.
