Blount Names New CEO

Blount International, Inc., a manufacturer of saw chains and other outdoor appliance parts, announced that Joshua L. Collins, formerly president, chief operating officer and CEO Designate, has been appointed the CEO.

Collins replaces James Osterman, who retired after more than 50 years with the company. Osterman will remain non-executive chairman of the Board until the 2010 Annual Meeting of Stockholders in May.

In addition, Robert Beasley, Jr., has been elected a director of the company by the Board of Directors to fulfill the director vacancy created by the retirement of Eliot Fried, effective January 1, 2010. Beasley is the former CEO of Blount and is currently a director of The Hunter Fan Company.
