Hearing to be Held on Credit for U.S. Manufacturers

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), chairman of the U.S. Senate Banking Subcommittee on Economic Policy, will conduct a hearing on Friday, October 9, 2009 to investigate ways to reverse the credit crisis U.S. manufacturers currently face. Brown’s hearing, "Restoring Credit to Manufacturers," will feature expert testimony from the administration, leading manufacturers and lenders.

Brown is an advocate in Congress for a national manufacturing policy to ensure U.S. global competitiveness. This is the third hearing Brown has held to address the challenges of domestic manufacturing.
