Entries for the 2010 International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Awards will be accepted today through Sept. 25, 2009, said the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). The competition honors outstanding design and engineering in 36 consumer electronics product categories, including new software and online content categories. The 2010 Best of Innovations honorees will be announced at the New York Press Preview on Nov. 10, 2009 at the Metropolitan Pavilion and showcased at the 2010 International CES, Jan. 7-10, 2010.

The awards are sponsored by CEA and endorsed by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). The Innovations Awards program gives product developers and manufacturers an opportunity to be judged by a preeminent panel of engineers, independent designers, and journalists. Honored products will be featured in the Innovations Showcase in the Grand Lobby at Las Vegas Convention Center at the 2010 International CES.
