Emerson Electric Co. said its third-quarter earnings fell 35% as demand fell across its segments. Earnings amounted to US$387 million for the quarter ended June 30, down from $612 million in the prior-year period.
Revenue fell 22% to $5.09 billion from $6.57 billion a year earlier. Sales fell across all five of the company's segments: process management, industrial automation, network power, climate technologies and appliance and tools.
