Although program specifics will vary state-to-state, the rebates are intended to encourage consumers to replace old appliances with new, more energy efficient appliances.

“Bosch commends the Department of Energy for their foresight in developing the rebate program,” said Michael Traub, president and CEO of BSH Home Appliances. “This forward-thinking initiative provides another incentive for consumers to purchase a Bosch Energy Star qualified home appliances, which will have a positive impact on both the environment and the economy.”

Bosch is the only U.S. appliance manufacturer with entire product lines of dishwashers, washers, and refrigeration appliances all qualified to Energy Star. The company is a part of Germany's BSH Bosch and Siemens Home Appliance Group but has a large appliance manufacturing campus in New Bern, North Carolina.
