Factory Orders Rise in May Jul 3, 2009 |

Orders to U.S. factories jumped in May by the largest amount in nearly a year, said a U.S. Commerce Report. The Commerce Department said that total orders rose 1.2% in May. The May increase was the best showing since a 2.1% rise last June. The report sais that there was strength in iron and steel, industrial, machinery and computers.
