The American Iron and Steel Institute named Kevin M. Dempsey senior vice president, public policy and general counsel. Currently a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Dewey& LeBoeuf, Dempsey will assume his new responsibilities on July 1.
During his tenure with Dewey & LeBoeuf, he litigated numerous antidumping and countervailing duty cases before the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. Court of International Trade and NAFTA binational panels. He also served as counsel to several U.S. integrated steel producers in the Section 201 investigation on steel products in 2001-03.
