Samsung launched a 46-inch LED TV that features the first implementation of Yahoo TV Widgets.
The LED 7000 will retail for about US$3,000, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The service includes a dock at the bottom of the TV screen, which users can scroll through to launch widgets like Yahoo Finance, Yahoo Weather, and Flickr. Additional content, like a Twitter app, will be available through the Widget Gallery.
Developers are free to design their own widgets for the service.
Yahoo Widget-enabled TVs from Sony, LG Electronics, Intel, and Vizio are expected this summer, the report said.
