Housing Starts at 17-1/2-Year Low

Construction starts on new homes in the U.S. fell to a 17-1/2-year low during August, according to the U.S. Commerce Department. Starts on new homes dropped 6.2% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 895,000, their lowest since January 1991.
