TecumsehPower Co. sold its Peerless business to Husqvarna Outdoor Products for an undisclosed sum. Peerless manufactures transmissions for outdoor power equipment in Grafton, WI, U.S., and Salem, IN, U.S. "In response to a very difficult situation we are executing an orderly plan that protects our customers, creates value for our investors, and preserves as many jobs as possible," said Rudolf Strobl, chairman and CEO of TecumsehPower.
