The Manitowoc Company Reports 3Q Sales Increase Oct 29, 2008 |

The Manitowoc Company, Inc. reported financial results from continuing operations for 3Q ended Sept. 30, 2008. Compared with 3Q 2007, net sales of US$1.1 billion and operating earnings of $140.6 million increased 19.6% and 19.2%, respectively.
Third-quarter Foodservice sales totaled $115.8 million, a 2.6% increase compared to 3Q 2007. Operating earnings for the quarter compared to 3Q 2007 increased 2.8% to $18.4 million. Operating margin of 15.9% was unchanged compared to 3Q 2007.
